'Tell me you love me,' I said. Sprang from nowhere, surprising us. I knew the answer before you replied. Maybe I needed to hear it from your lips.
Your game of coaxing, teasing, went away. I wear my heart on my sleeve, but I still keep bits of me locked away. Tonight you got in.
There were tears as I came. Hasn't happened in a long time, if ever before. I wept almost silently. Your voice held me as sure as your arms would have done.
